CAVU Aerospace UK Reflects on Space-Comm Expo Scotland 2024

Glasgow, UK — The Space-Comm Expo Scotland 2024 has come to a close, leaving us with plenty of insights and valuable connections. Over the course of two days at the SEC Glasgow, industry leaders, government officials, and space enthusiasts gathered to discuss the latest developments in the rapidly evolving aerospace sector.

Despite this, CAVU Aerospace UK is optimistic about the future. We remain committed to showcasing our innovations and strengthening our ties within the Scottish space sector. With Scotland being a leading hub for satellite manufacturing and space exploration, we look forward to seeing a more substantial and engaged presence at future space exhibitions here.

While the event was marked by many engaging panels, discussions, and networking opportunities, the Expo was noticeably smaller compared to the previous one held in Farnborough in March. With Scotland building more satellites than the rest of Europe combined, we anticipated a more significant presence from Scottish satellite manufacturers. Companies like Alba Orbital and Spire Global, who have made a name for themselves in the industry, were notably absent this year. This may be attributed to the crowded schedule of space-related events around this time of year, which can make it challenging for companies to participate in every expo.

We believe that events like Space-Comm Expo are crucial in fostering collaboration, innovation, and growth within the space industry. As we look forward to exhibiting at Space-Comm Expo in London next March, we also hope to see the next Scottish space show grow even larger and attract more contributions from the thriving local industry.
